A native of Haywood County and a graduate of Tuscola High School, Angie Leatherwood continued her education at East Tennessee State University and has spent more than 40 years building a career rooted in hospitality. With a deep love for her community, Angie is passionate about ensuring every event is carried out with care, compassion, and precision.
Dedicated to creating meaningful experiences, Angie works closely with clients to ensure each gathering reflects their vision—whether it is a funeral reception, celebration of life, wedding, anniversary, reunion, seminar, community gathering, or live entertainment event. She is known for her thoughtful attention to detail and her commitment to making each event as special and memorable as it is meant to be.
Angie has been part of Wells Events Center for more than 12 years and 1500+ events since the completion of its final remodeling phase and grand opening in 2014. She and her husband, Troy, reside on their family property in the Jonathan Creek community. Their daughter, Erin, lives in Georgia with her husband, Zach and their son, Bo. In her free time, Angie enjoys cooking, gardening, spending time with her family and friends, outdoor activities, Clemson football, and relaxing on the front porch.

Robin is a lifelong resident of Haywood County and a devoted member of High Street Baptist Church, where she and her family are actively involved. Known for her warmth, compassion, and servant’s heart, Robin brings genuine care and dedication to every role she undertakes.
She dedicated 29 years to Haywood County Schools, serving as a teacher’s assistant for students with special needs at North Canton Elementary School. After retiring from education, Robin continued her commitment to serving others by joining Wells Funeral Home and Cremation Services for over 20 years as an office administrator, where she also assisted with visitations. She later transitioned to Wells Events Center, where she currently serves as a valuable team member of the Hospitality Staff. She finds great fulfillment in helping create meaningful and memorable experiences for families and guests.
Robin resides in Clyde with her husband, Wayne. They are the proud parents of two daughters and loving grandparents to two cherished grandchildren, who bring immense joy to Robin’s life. In her free time, she enjoys reading, tending to her flower gardens, and spending time with her family. Above all, she treasures every opportunity to support and cheer on her grandchildren in their many activities and events.

Chelsea is a native of Haywood County and has been a valued member of the Wells Events and Reception Center team since 2017. During her time with Wells, she has discovered a true passion for service and caring for families. In 2018, Chelsea and her husband chose Wells Events and Reception Center for their wedding and reception, making it a very special place for them. Chelsea previously worked with Meals on Wheels in Haywood County for many years, the chose to be a stay-at-home mom and work part-time. In her free time, Chelsea enjoys spending time with her family and raising chickens and other farm animals.

Diane has been a valuable member of our Guest Service Team for the past 4 years. She was born in Florida after her family relocated from the Midwest, but her roots in hospitality began early when, at just 12 years old, she started working alongside her father after he fulfilled his dream of owning a motel in beautiful Maggie Valley.
After graduating from high school in Haywood County, Diane returned to Florida, where she managed a restaurant and bartended while attending college. Upon completing her education, she moved back to Waynesville, married her husband, Rob, and began raising their two daughters.
Diane spent 30 dedicated years with Haywood County Health and Human Services, serving in adult services before retiring. In retirement, she treasures time spent with her family and grandchildren at their lake house. True to her energetic spirit, Diane stays busy enjoying puzzles, light gardening, and assisting with events—continuing her commitment to be of service to others through her work at the Event Center.

Lori is a lifelong resident of Haywood County and has been a valued member of Wells Events Center hospitality team since 2025. In addition to her role at Wells Events Center, Lori serves as a School Counselor with Haywood County Schools, where she has been dedicated to supporting students since 2001.
A 1989 graduate of Pisgah High School, Lori continued her education at Western Carolina University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders. She later obtained a master’s degree in Student Development from Appalachian State University.
Lori developed an early interest in hospitality while working in food service at Lake Junaluska Assembly. At Wells Events Center, she especially enjoys interacting with guests during a wide variety of events and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service and creating welcoming experiences for all who attend.
Lori resides in the Bethel community of Haywood County with her husband and is an active member of Pinnacle Church in Canton. She and her husband have two grown daughters. In her free time, Lori enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and creating a variety of paper crafts.
